Hot Sugar on a Sandy Beach

Hot summer sugar sand
Take mine in your hand
Thunder beating open heart
Radiant sun setting the start

Layers of love surround
Under the covers bound
Beyond vision, taste and smell
Naturally surrender a deep spell

Sleep unstirred heavy head
Wanting not more than a bed
Dreams manifest a new truth
Lazy days bloom big with you

Sunny siesta brings much relief
On a warm sugar sandy beach
Malasadas baked fresh in a box
Makes each moment rise in stocks

I am so distracted when it comes to sitting with a constant idea and allowing it to flow from head trips to finger tips.

These jaunts, are my small attempts to jump start my creative genius but, all I'm mastering are sparks.

Wish I will,
wish I might,
make a bolder,
stronger move, and
make it right.

Quick, where's a fan? Thanks so much for taking me to this sultry, steamy place. I want to be on that sandy beach right now! And now I'm also craving something sweet...

P.S. I'm so far behind on my blog reading, I didn't know you had lost Anouk. I left a comment on that post as well, but I just wanted to say how sorry I am for the loss of your beautiful, special bunny.

Thank you.

Malasadas are Portuguese fresh, and warm sugar doughnuts (sans hole).

Funny enough we find them in Hawaii.

This really has me longing for warm summer days again! The temps here are getting into the mid 50's by day and compared to 30's its nice but still not hot enough for my liking. I'll live vicariously through this piece of prose. Lovely!
