Summer Lover in Slumber

It has become rare that I share, all the fun that my hands dare to do with out an audience to view. So, here I am posting in possible repair.
As soon as the heat wave strikes, we head down the stairs, dragging blankets, pillows along, roll out the futon out on the floor, and begin a sweet chorus of snores.

I have given up my high thread count linens,
for some thing with more tactile memory of marshmallow.
Though still, I thought that I might mix up the scene a bit more,
by spray painting, instead of tie dying the usual score.

Totally 80's surf punk, on the brain, in hopes of keeping me sane.
I love trying out old stuff in new ways, knowing that nothing stays the same, and feeling fine about towing the creative line.

Now things seem so much simpler than before.
No dipping, no dripping, no hanging, no staining, no pinching.
Lay it all across the lawn, tape and spray it.
Just swing in the hammock sling, trying to remember how to sing.
So I sway, in the soft wind, waiting for my sweet dreams to begin.

Tulip Fabric Spray paints

Cotton Modal T-shirt Jersey knit bedsheets

Scotch Blue Tape, Advanced for delicate surfaces

Yes, it is as easy as shown, should you choose to play this way.
Tape it. Spray it. Let it rest. Wash it. Dry it. Take it away.

I love this idea. It makes we want to decorate a little girls room full of bright colors and spray the bedding this way! As always thanks for the support. And I just love how you guys have a big slumber party downstairs when the heat hits.

DIY-queen or what. This looks fabulous. If I wasn't living in a sublet, this is totally what I'd be spending this morning doing!

Okay, so..
I just laid it all out flat along the lawn. No evidence of destruction. And, it all washed off my fingers just fine. No stains. No shame.

Cheers!
